Deputies arrived on scene just a quarter mile from the Fort Kent line where they found a 2005 Dodge pick-up lying on its side partially in the road with no driver.

Deputies tracked down the driver, 19-year-old Kendall A. Voisine, at his residence in Frenchville. Voisine was brought back to the scene of the crash, where he was evaluated by EMTs and found to have no injuries.

Deputies determined Voisine lost control of his vehicle after crossing a set of railroad tracks, which caused the rear end of the vehicle to slide into a snowbank and roll onto its side.

The vehicle sustained only minor damage and was towed away by Twin’s Service Station.

Voisine was issued summonses for leaving the scene of an accident, operating after suspension and possession of alcohol by a minor.

The accident remains under investigation and Voisine is scheduled to make his initial court appearance on March 3, 2014 in Fort Kent District Court.
