Fire crews from Mars Hill, Easton and Bridgewater responded just after 3 o'clock to the fire on the Kinney Road, about a mile from U.S. Route 1. No one was injured in the blaze. The home was  a total loss.

The state fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.

A Disaster Action Team from the American Red Cross of Maine is working with the two family members to ensure that they have food, a safe place to sleep and other essentials.

Over the next several days, the Red Cross will remain in contact with the family to provide financial assistance and community referrals as they continue to recover.
