The RCMP have removed thousands of marijuana plants from several wooded areas in New Brunswick, as they attempt to disrupt illegal growing operations across the province.

Once mature, these plants could have produced up to 1.97 million marihuana joints, according to a statement from Cpl. Chantal Farrah of the New Brunswick RCMP.

So far, one person has been arrested. The investigations into these grow operations are continuing

Police want to remind the public to report any information on the locations of marijuana grow operations in the province by calling your local police or reporting it anonymously through Crime Stoppers at www.crimenb.ca or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

If your information leads to an arrest, you could qualify for a cash award of up to $2,000.
