Saint-Léonard RCMP is investigating a series of break and enters at seasonal properties in Saint-Joseph-de-Madawaska, in which a number of items were stolen and properties were damaged.

Sometime between November 5 and November 11, at least six cottages were broken into in the Moose Valley area, along chemin de la Pépinière. Police say several items were taken from the different properties, including an ATV, a Champion generator, chainsaws and three firearms. Several cottages were also vandalised, damaging furniture and floors, according to Constable Jean-Sébastien Poirier.

Anyone with information on these break and enters and thefts, or who may have similar incidents in the area to report, is asked to contact the West District RCMP, Saint-Léonard detachment, at (506) 473-3137.
