When playoff time rolls around coaches are always looking for seniors to take the lead. That was the case for the Brewer Witches who beat cony 3-1 in Thursday's quarterfinal. With the score tied at one in the bottom of the 6th inning, Witches senior Mike Grimble ripped a 2-run homerun over the right field fence lading the Witches to the win. For Grimble it was not just his first homerun of the season, but also the first of his high school career.

Fellow senior Evan Riva got the complete game win allowing just 6 hits and striking out 4 for his 7th win of the season. The Witches will play Mt. Blue in the semifinals.

The #1 seeded Bangor Rams also advanced with a 6-0 win over Brunswick. The Rams put together a 5-run second inning and never looked back. Bangor will play Messalonskee in the semifinals.

Old Town is the only undefeated team in the state and shutout Ellsworth in their quarterfinal match-up.
