As Radiohead prepare to release OK Computer: OKNOTOKan expanded 20th anniversary edition of their landmark album, news has emerged that they've dedicated the celebratory record to frontman Thom Yorke's ex-partner, Rachel Owen, who passed away last year.

"this re-issue is dedicated to the memory of dr rachel owen 1968-2016 who died after a long and brave battle with cancer,” reads a message from the band on the record's back sleeve, according to a fan who received an early copy and was evidently touched by the note. “we hope you are ok. thank you for listening.”

Yorke and Owen, who was an artist and lecturer, met as students at Exeter, and had two children together who are now teenagers. Their relationship ended in 2015 and influenced the tenor of the 2016 Radiohead album A Moon Shaped Pool

The reissue is due out Friday, when Radiohead will also perform at the Glastonbury Festival. It includes remasters all of the original OK Computer tracks, as well as eight B-sides and three previously performed but unreleased songs — "I Promise," "Man of War" and "Lift."

The set will be released as digital downloads, on CD and on vinyl. The band is also offering a vinyl boxed edition which will include a 90-minute cassette (with download card) of session archives and demos and several books that contain Yorke's extensive notes, song lyrics and art for the original album.
