Presque Isle Public Market Open for Business

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the grand opening of the Presque Isle Public Market at Riverside Park Thursday.

18 vendors made up of local artisans and farmers opened booths filled with Maine made and Maine grown products and produce.

The Presque Isle Downtown Revitalization Committee has plans to establish a permanent structure for the market, but the plans depend on the popularity and success of the market.

Those interested in signing up for the market are welcome and the Presque Isle Downtown Revitalization Committee has decided to waive the yearly application fee for 2014 to help vendors get involved.
