Presque Isle City Manager Selected as President-Elect of International Local Government Management Association
After a recent executive board meeting by the International City/County Management Association in Annapolis, Maryland - Presque Isle's city manager, Jim Bennett, has been selected as President-Elect of International Local Government Management Association.
Mr. Bennett will serve as president-elect for one-year starting Sept. 2013 at the ICMA 99th Annual Conference in Boston, Massachusetts. Eventually he will take on the role of president at the ICMA Annual Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, in Sept. 2014.
ICMA is made up of almost 9,500 members in 26 countries and includes educators, students, and other local government employees. Mr. Bennett has been a member of ICMA since 1986. He has moved his way up in the organization and has earned numerous designations along the way.
