I just read a story that a school district in Pennsylvania is canceling all Halloween activities so that it doesn't offend someone's religious sensibilities.  Wha?

This political correctness crap has gone too far.  Sure, I don't ever want to purposely offend someone but there has to be a limit to this ridiculousness.  Depending on who you ask, in this case Wikipedia: "Halloween....also known as All Hallows' Eve, is a yearly celebration on October 31, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Saints and the day initiating the...time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs and all the faithful departed believers. According to many scholars, All Hallows' Eve is a Christianized feast initially influenced by western Europe ...and festivals of the dead with possible pagan roots"

Why am I telling you this?  Because kids think of Halloween as a fun time to dress up in a costume and eat candy.  Get over it.

In case that offends you, I'm on Facebook.
