The Northeast District RCMP is looking for a suspect in connection with two suspicious fires at the Department of Fisheries and Oceans building in Charlo.

Police and the fire department were first called to the building on Chaleur Street shortly before 3:00 a.m. Sunday where the fire was extinguished and again early Monday morning around 3:40 a.m. where the damage was more extensive.

The Campbellton RCMP is seeking the public's help to identify a man wearing a yellow hoodie seen leaving the scene in a dark-coloured vehicle, according to Sgt. René Labbé.

Anyyone with information about the fires or who may have been in the area of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans building prior to the fires is asked to contact Campbellton RCMP at (506) 789-6000.
