Police responded to 13 complaints from residents during the early morning hours Monday in the Forbes and Applewood subdivisions.

The suspect or suspects stole items including cash and electronics from unlocked vehicles in the neighbourhood, according to Sgt. André Duval of the Oromocto Detachment.

West District RCMP are urging residents to protect themselves against this type of crime by locking their vehicles and removing all valuables including electronics, loose change and personal items.

Residents are asked to call police immediately to report any suspicious activity, particularly at night. The investigation into the thefts is continuing.
