At approximately 7:00 Saturday night, police responded to a 911 call regarding a physical altercation between two people at a camp on the Burnt Jacket Road. One man was reported to be non-responsive, according to Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.

EMS personnel attempted to revive 32-year-old George Bradford Woodbury III, but he never regained consciousness, McCausland said. The body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office in Augusta where an autopsy will be conducted on Monday.

Investigators say it appears that the physical altercation occurred as a result of a disagreement or dispute involving rental property.

No charges have been filed at this point and no arrest has been made. The investigation continues.

Maine State Police have been assisted in this investigation by the Greenville Police Department and Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office.
