According to the Aroostook County Sheriff's Office, At around 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, 52-year-old Gary Campbell was driving the Town of Grand Isle's plow truck on the Corbin Road in Grand Isle.

The plow struck a large crevice in the road, spun 180 degrees and into the opposite lane before overturning and coming to rest on its side. The plow's sander disconnected from the truck and slid about forty feet before coming to a stop.

Campbell was the only person in the 2003 International and was not injured. Total damage to the town's only plow truck is estimated at around $5,000.

The town is already making arrangements for plowing while their truck is being repaired. The crash remains under investigation but initially it does not appear that speed was a factor.
