Some 200 homes on the Tobique First Nation had been evacuated as of last night, but people are now being allowed back into their homes as the evacuation order has been lifted.

The Department of Natural Resources fought the blaze from the air with water bombers, helicopters and a huge CL415 aircraft from Quebec.

A health advisory was issued for residents with breathing difficulties because of the smoke hanging in the air.

Luckily no injuries were reported and no homes were damaged by the fire.
