New England Patriots' special teamer Nate Ebner will be making his debut in the Olympics on Tuesday afternoon when the US begins play in the Rugby Sevens.

Ebner qualified for the team and made the Olympic roster last month and will try to advance the US beyond the group stage.  The Americans will play Argentina at noon and host nation Brazil at 5 p.m.  They will have a quick turnaround for game three when they play Fiji  Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.

The Patriots will be without Ebner for the duration of the games, as the special teamer vowed to be back with the squad once his Olympic duties had completed.  New England will play its first pre-season game against New Orleans on Thursday and begins the season on September 11th.

Coverage of the Rugby Sevens can be seen on the NBC sports live video stream online.
