Two women who are among the most powerfully voiced in rock history are teaming up. Pat Benatar (with husband/guitar player Neil Giraldo) and Melissa Etheridge have announced a co-headlining tour that will take place this summer.

The dates, which are listed below, begin at the Beacon Theater in New York City on July 6 and will cover a good portion of the East Coast before they talk a break after the July 16 concert at the Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta. After a few weeks off, they will resume on Aug. 9 in Interlochen, Mich., and head west, concluding at the Northern Quest Resort & Casino in Airway Heights, Wash., on Aug. 27.

Both acts have shows on their calendar before they team up, so check Benatar / Giraldo's and Etheridge's websites for their respective itineraries, as well as complete ticket information and VIP packages.

For Benatar and Giraldo, it's a return to the road after last year's tour, which saw the couple celebrate their 35 years together. But they received a bit of a scare when Giraldo required emergency surgery to his left eye, which forced the few weeks worth of dates to be canceled.
