Opening Day At Hadlock Field

After seven games on the road to start the Eastern League season, the Portland Seadogs play their home opener at Hadlock Field in Portland this evening at 6pm.

It will be the 23rd home opener at Hadlock.

The Class AA affiliate team of the Red Sox is off to a 3-4 start and the opponent is the Hartford Yard Goats, a new affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.

The Seadogs have 6 of the top 30 Sox prospects according to Baseball America - #15 2B Wendell Rijo, #18 RHP Ty Buttrey, #19 LHP Williams Jerez, #20 RHP Teddy Stankiewicz, #21 RHP Kevin McAvoy and #25 LHPLuis Ysla.

Former big leaguer Carlos Febles is the new Seadogs manager.
