State Police say one man was injured and four people fled the scene in the third crash reported in northern Aroostook County over the weekend.

Shortly after 11:30 Saturday night, Maine State Police were called to assist Madawaska Police with a single-vehicle accident on the Cleveland Road. Since the crash was determined to be in St. Agatha, Trooper Matthew Curtin completed the investigation.

Police say 23-year-old Joshua Daigle of Sinclair was found at the scene and claimed that the driver and the others had fled. The 2003 Chevy truck, registered to Daigle, left the roadway and struck a telephone pole. Police say Daigle suffered minor injuries in the crash.The truck was towed from the scene due to disabling damage.

Madawaska Police Department and Aroostook County Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation. The crash investigation is ongoing.
