One Person Killed in Highway Collision in Lincoln, N.B.

One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Lincoln, New Brunswick.

Oromocto RCMP say both vehicles were traveling east on Route 2 at approximately 7:50 a.m. when one vehicle lost control and collided with the other.  The second vehicle went off the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver of that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information regarding the accident victim has been released, pending notification of family.

Police say slippery road conditions were a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
