Can Eric Clapton be replaced?  Well, yes, anyone can be replaced.  It will, however, be a different band.  For today’s hidden treasure I present to you 2/3rds of Cream and one part badass Irish guitarist.  Ladies and gentlemen – Bruce Baker Moore!

In 1993, Cream’s rhythm section, notorious for hating each other, decided to give it another guy with a different guy on guitar.  Drummer Ginger Baker, bassist Jack Bruce and former Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore (d. 2010) put out an amazingly cool album called Around the Next Dream.

It didn’t have a lot of success, but it was mind-numbingly epic to fans of both Cream and Gary Moore.  When the short-lived band played live they incorporated Cream songs into the set.  Below is a video of such a performance.  Eric who?

I’m not sure if this album is still available, but if you can find it and you’re a fan of blues and rock and roll, buy it.  Got a suggestion for a ‘hidden treasure?’ Let us know on our Facebook page.
