The 1st annual Commercial Expo & Marketplace will take place in The Forum, July 27 – August 4, 2018.

The cancellation of a longtime spring trade show earlier this year meant that many County businesses, organizations, and vendors lost an opportunity to not only showcase their products and services, but also connect with members of the Aroostook County community. Well, it looks like they’ll still have that chance in a few short months!

The Northern Maine Fair is excited to announce that it will host the 1st Annual Commercial Expo & Marketplace as part of this year’s Fair. The Fair saw an opportunity to utilize the Forum during the Fair to allow those same vendors to show their businesses and organizations to the people of Northern Maine if they didn’t get a chance to earlier this year.

This six-day event will give vendors an opportunity to display their products and services to more than 20,000 fairgoers during Northern Maine’s oldest and largest family summer time event. And they’ll get to do so during convenient hours! With only evening hours on weekdays and one weekend day, businesses won’t have to take employees from their regular jobs to work the show.

Show Schedule: Monday, July 30 from 4-9 PM, Tuesday, July 31 from 4-9 PM, Wednesday, August 1st from 4-9 PM, Thursday, August 2nd from 4-9PM, Friday, August 3rd from 4-9 PM & Saturday, August 4th from 4-9 PM.

We have been searching for a better way to involve more local businesses and organizations during the Fair," said fair president Lynwood Winslow. “With the opening of The Commercial Expo & Marketplace, we can now offer an affordable and professional venue where their groups will have a lot of exposure to our fairgoers.

The Fair is also making some significant changes to its layout this year, which will drive traffic specifically into this new show. The Forum will become the center for action, as the midway will be reorganized around it, and the main gate off Mechanic Street will be relocated so that everyone who enters the Fair will be directed to the front of the Forum. These changes will not only give the Fair a new look, but they will also improve safety, handicap accessibility, and reduce traffic inside the Fair.

We’ve also made this affordable, with booths costing $250 each. Vendors interested in more information may contact the fair via Facebook, or the Fair’s website, www.northernmainefair.com. They may also contact Lynwood Winslow directly at 207-227-4690 or lwinslow@northernmainefair.com.
