Aroostook’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award is designed to recognize the achievements of entrepreneurs who reside in and have excelled in a business venture in Aroostook County.  

The award is presented annually by the Aroostook Partnership.

Who is eligible:
Individuals who own, operate, or are involved in a partnership in a for-profit or not-for-profit enterprise in Aroostook County.

Selection Process:
Nominations for the award are sought from community members annually. Nominees from prior year(s) not selected as Entrepreneur of the Year are eligible for re-submission. Deadline for nominations is April 29, 2016.

A panel of six judges, one representing the sponsor organization, and the supporting organizations (Husson University, Northern Maine Community College, University of Maine at Fort Kent and University of Maine at Presque Isle) and last year’s winner will meet to adjudicate the applications.

The recipient of Aroostook’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award will be announced at an event May 26, 2016. Other honorees will also be recognized. The winner will receive $1,000. First and Second runners up will receive $500 and $250 respectively.

ALL NOMINATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY April 29, 2016.
