Maine State Police say 18-year-old Arianna Forbes of Castle Hill was traveling north on the Parsons Road in a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle around 4:45 p.m. when she lost control on a curve.  Forbes' car traveled into the opposite lane and was struck by a 2009 Toyota Camry operated by 44-year-old Leland Caron of Washburn, according to Sgt. Josh Haines.

Both drivers, as well as Caron’s young passenger sustained minor injuries but did not have to be transported to the hospital, Haines said.  All were wearing their seat belts and speed was not a factor in the crash.

The two cars had significant damage and were towed from the scene.

Trooper Nick Casavant was the investigating officer.  Washburn Police Department, Washburn Fire & Rescue and Crown Ambulance also responded to the accident.
