Clark is a full-time student in the Accounting program with a 3.2 GPA.  She is a single parent of a three-year old.

One student from each of the seven Maine community college campuses was selected to receive the generous scholarship from MEREDA, awarded for the first time this academic year. To qualify for the scholarship, students must be a Maine resident, have financial need, and be enrolled as a second-year student in the building trades, architecture, construction, engineering or business program at a Maine community college.

The funds for the scholarships were raised through MEREDA’s annual “Strikes for Scholars” bowl-a-thon in May. The association’s goal is to raise enough money each year to fund at least one scholarship at each of Maine’s community colleges and support Maine students as they prepare for careers in areas of study that promote MEREDA’s mission of responsible development and ownership of real estate throughout the state.

“MEREDA is pleased to be helping to meet the financial needs of students at the seven campuses of the Maine Community College system statewide,” said Mike O’Reilly of Bangor Savings Bank, the current MEREDA president.Providing scholarships to students who hope to get into real estate-related fields contributes to the mission of MEREDA which is supporting responsible real estate development.”
