The Foundation is a non-profit organization which raises and distributes funds to help NMCC meet its commitment to provide superior educational opportunities.  Much of the funding is in the form of scholarships.  The Foundation also supports programing equipment needs and the expansion of College facilities.

Collins is the Vice President and Treasurer of the S.W. Collins Company, with locations in Caribou, Presque Isle, Fort Kent, Houlton and Lincoln.

Collins is a graduate of the University of Maine, Orono where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance.

He has served on the Foundation since 2007 on various committees and is also currently serving on the finance and investment committee.

“We are grateful to have a person of Gregg’s caliber and commitment to provide strong leadership and to direct the important work of the Foundation,” said Tim Crowley, NMCC President.  “Over the years the Foundation has been fortunate to have exceptional individuals dedicate their time and expertise for the good of the students who attend NMCC.  Last year, the Foundation distributed $60,000 in scholarship money—our most successful year to date.”
