Nikki Sixx remains one of the busiest men in rock, with Sixx: A.M. thriving on the road while preparing to release their second album of the year, hosting his Sixx Sense radio show and pursuing his passion for photography. The rocker says in a new interview that he's much more active than his days of excess in the '80s with Motley Crue.

Speaking with Team Rock, Sixx was asked if he remembered much about the '80s, and he responded, "Not much. They were challenging. I don't understand why I could only do one or two things when I can do so many now." When it was suggested that it was his lifestyle, he agreed, stating, "Lifestyle had a lot to do with it. There was a lot of negative energy. Rebellion is fatiguing to the rebel. It's like the boxer who goes in swinging. He just wears himself out. These days I like to go 12 rounds."

Sixx admits he did have some good times on drugs, but he adds that the feeling "went too quickly." He stated that if he could share any advice with his 21-year-old self, it would be to "try not to snort Colombia."

Sixx, who was legally declared dead after an overdose only to be revived, added, "I'm not scared of death at all. In my own broken philosophy, if you live your life right, death is something to look forward to. It gives you a reason to be alive."
