New Maine State Troopers Coming to Aroostook County

It was graduation day at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro, and Aroostook County will soon have several new State Troopers.

Maine’s 13 newest troopers joined the State Police today in graduation ceremonies Friday. With Governor LePage looking on, the new troopers received their badges from the Chief of the State Police, Colonel Robert Williams.

The new troopers have spent the past nine weeks in specialized State Police instruction and procedures and will now begin patrolling with a veteran trooper.

The chief told the new troopers that expectations for them were high. “You will see the best and worst of people and called upon to make decisions in a fraction of a second.  The public expects nothing less.” Williams said.

The new troopers assigned to Troop F in Aroostook County are Adam Bell from Sanford, who graduated from Hodgdon High School and Maine Maritime Academy;  John Darcy of Thompson, CT, who graduated from Worcester State University; and Ethan Doody of Wade, a graduate of Washburn High School and the University of Maine.
