New Brunswick is sending a troop of more than 400 athletes, coaches and managers, who will be participating in a variety of sports including basketball, tennis, diving and cycling.

Among them is 18-year-old Melissa Beaulieu of Drummond, New Brunswick, pictured in the photo above. Melissa will be on the soccer field with Team New Brunswick as they take on British Columbia Saturday at 2:30 ET. The match will be televised on TSN and on the French network RDS.

In the last Canada Summer Games in 2009, the New Brunswick team won seven medals, finishing 8th overall. They’re hoping for a stronger showing this year.

The Canada games are the largest multi-sport event in the country with 20 different events over two weeks at 20 venues.

The games open Friday at 8 p.m. You can follow the Canada Summer Games here.
