A 52-year-old Hodgdon man was arrested Tuesday for receiving stolen property and criminal simulation after police found a stolen motorcycle at a Hodgdon residence.

Aroostook County Sheriff's Office

Michael Malone of Hodgdon will answer to the charges in March when he appears in Houlton Unified Court.

The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip in in early December that the bike was located at the residence in Hodgdon. Deputy Sheriff Richard York located and seized the motorcycle. The identification and engine numbers were obliterated, officials said.

Detective Chad Foley of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles-Enforcement and Special Agent Heidi Jordan of the National Insurance Crime Bureau inspected the Harley and identified it as the 2008 Harley HD Sportster XL1200 stolen from Smyrna in March of 2017, said the Sheriff’s Office.
