State Police say Adam Mullings of Queens Village, New York was driving on Route 11 in Moro Plantation at around 2:30 Thursday afternoon when he lost control of his 2013 Chevy Silverado on the slippery road.  The truck struck a utility pole, snapping it off at its base, and then ended up on its side against a stand of trees.

Mullings was initially trapped in the cab, but was able to climb out of the truck when State Police arrived, according to Sgt. Chad Fuller.

Mullings, who had been wearing his seat belt, did not require medical attention. The pickup was severely damaged. Trooper Adam Bell responded to the crash.
