Shortly after 11:30 p.m., the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a collision between a train and a tractor on the tracks near the junction with Bill Slater Road, just inside the Moncton city limits.

A few minutes before the collision, the RCMP had received a report of a tractor being stolen from the Moncton RV Centre on Edinburgh Drive, according to Staff Sgt. Eric Larose.

The tractor, an orange and red Kioti brand tractor, was confirmed to be the one that had been reported stolen. No one was injured in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone who might have seen the tractor prior to the collision to contact the Codiac RCMP at 506-857-2400.
