State Police have charged a couple from Milo after seizing heroin and crack when their vehicle was stopped on the Maine Turnpike late Thursday night.

The enforcement action came after Troopers stopped the couple’s car in York about 11 pm and a drug dog was brought to the scene.

As a result, 12 grams of crack cocaine and 12 grams of heroin was located. 43 year old Maureen Clark of Milo was charged with two counts of Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs. 52 year old Edwin Marrero of Milo was charged with Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drugs as he was in possession of suboxone without a prescription. Both were summonsed and released from the scene. They now have a future date in a York County courtroom to answer the charges.
