It's been a hot minute since we've heard anything fresh from Miley Cyrus. Her last proper singles, "Adore You" off Bangerz and "BB Talk" off Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, were released in 2013 and 2015, respectively, though she also partnered up with Lolawolf on 2016's "Teardrop."

Now comes yet another team-up—and the pop star's first foray into music in 2017—courtesy of Cyrus' favorite (though unexpected) collaborators: The Flaming Lips.

Cyrus provides vocals on the Oklahoma-born band's lush new single, "We A Family," a slice of spaced-out, synthy psychedelic folk rock.

Of course, the song isn't the pop artist's first time working with the offbeat rockers: She appeared on the band's 2014 tribute to Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and worked with lead singer Wayne Coyne on her 2015 record, Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz.

"We A Family" appears on The Flaming Lips' album Oczy Mlody, out January 13. Listen below:
