For the last 30 years, the master has been pulling your strings, but now it's time for you to pull the strings yourself! After releasing signature editions representing Metallica's first two records, ESP will be issuing a limited edition Graphic Series to commemorate Master of Puppets.

Only 400 of these guitars will be made available worldwide and will make its debut at the Summer NAMM show. The LTD boasts an alder body with a bolt-on maple neck at a 25.5 inch scale. The fingerboard is made of ebony and boasts 24 XJ frets along with EMG 81 neck and bridge active pickups and a TOM bridge and string-thru body. The inlay on the fingerboard solely consists of the traditional Metallica logo. Each guitar will come with an ESP form-fit case branded with the Metallica logo and, of course, a certificate of authenticity from ESP. A photo can be seen below.

The body is finished with the iconic album cover, depicting rows of white crosses along the bottom with the attached strings arcing upward, held by two hands, one of which is predominantly visible and the other showing a little more than one finger. The inverted headstock continues the red / orange hue and is branded with LTD along the top.

This year, Metallica celebrated not only the 30th anniversary of Master of Puppets, but the 20th anniversary of Load as well as issuing deluxe edition box sets with remastered version of Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning. Metallica have also confirmed that they have begun mixing their long-awaited new album, the successor to 2008's Death Magnetic.
