When will the UMaine hockey road woes come to an end? Not Friday night in Merrimack. A 4-3 overtime loss that keeps the Black Bears winless away from Alfond Arena.

This one may have a little extra sting for Maine. A 3-0 lead in the second period after Daniel Perez, Blaine Byron and Chase Pearson scored goals.

But Merrimack rallied with a goal late in the second period and then the Warriors scored twice in the final five minutes of regulation to send the game to overtime. The game-tying goal came with the Warrior goalie pulled.

Merrimack ended the game with a Jace Hennig goal 3:39 into into overtime.

The loss sends Maine to 4-14-1 in Hockey East (11th place), 10-18-3 overall.

Merrimack is now 7-7-5 and 13-13-5.

The teams play again tonight at Merrimack.
