The long Memorial Day Weekend typically kicks off the camping season for many folks, myself included. Are you ready?

To me, camping involves the "Four F's:" Family, friends, food and fun! But it also involves a lot of work. Not just on our part either. Yes, there is the usual: wash the bedding, clean and stock the camper, etc... But this year, it might even be a chore getting the camper out from where you parked it last winter.

Until last week, our camper was surrounded by snow out in the field behind our house.

Now that the snow has finally melted, it's a waiting game. We have to wait for the campgrounds to open. We have to wait for the lawn to be dry enough to get the truck out there to retrieve the camper. Nobody wants to fix ruts, so it's best to wait.

But me, being the impatient person that I am, I'm having a hard time just leaving it be. I want to get things done and have everything ready for camping on Memorial weekend.

Apparently I'm not alone either. Campgrounds from around the state are gearing up and getting things ready as well.

I'm excited to get out there and get to camping! How about you?
