A 66-year-old Belledune man died after his vehicle crashed into a building in the northeastern New Brunswick community Wednesday evening.


Campbellton RCMP responded to the crash at approximately 7 p.m. Police say the man was driving along Route 134 when he lost control of his vehicle.  The building was unoccupied and no one else was injured in the crash.

The unidentified man was transported to the Campbellton Regional Hospital, where he later passed away as a result of his injuries.

Police believe an underlying medical condition may have played a role in the crash.  An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

The investigation is continuing.
