Wardens say Jacob Williams, of Fort Fairfield, disappeared under the river's surface while swimming with three friends on Saturday. His body was found by a game warden about 45 minutes later.

Wardens said Monday that the state medical examiner's office declared the cause of death to be accidental drowning.

Wardens reminded Mainers on Monday that many water bodies continue to be cold, high and dangerous. They urged everyone to wear life jackets while on or near the water.
