Incident Type: Drugs Date: 9/26/2016 Town: Houlton Trooper: Tr. Kilcollins Brief Synopsis: Tr. Kilcollins and Tr. Bell stopped a vehicle for a defective headlight in Houlton. When Tr. Kilcollins and Tr. Bell got up to the vehicle there was a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. There were also two young children in the vehicle. It was found that a male subject in the backseat had a usable amount of marijuana and paraphernalia on him. The male was charged with possession of marijuana.

Incident Type: DRUGS Date: 9/27/2016 Town: Merrill Trooper: Tr. Endre Brief Synopsis: Tr. Bell, Tr. Endre and Tr. Kilcollins conducted a probation search on a 17 year old juvenile. The juvenile’s room was searched resulting in the seizing of 26 pipes, bongs, and smoking apparatuses; as well as alcohol and marijuana. The contraband was seized and destroyed. The juvenile will be summonsed accordingly.

Incident Type: OUI Date: 9/27/2016 Town: Houlton Trooper: Tr. Kilcollins Brief Synopsis: Tr. Endre and Tr. Kilcollins stopped a vehicle for speeding in Houlton. Upon speaking with the operator, he admitted to stealing the vehicle from a motel in Presque Isle. The operator also admitted to having a warrant, a suspended license, and that he had been drinking. After SFST’s the operator was arrested and taken to the Aroostook County Jail for an Intoxilyzer test. The male was charged with OUI, OAS, and kept at the jail for the non-bail able warrant. After speaking with the owners of the truck they did not want to press charges.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 9/29/2016 Town: Hodgdon Trooper: Tr. Kilcollins Brief Synopsis: Tr. Kilcollins and Tr. Bell stopped a dump truck in Hodgdon for a violation and male operator was known to have a suspended license. Through further investigation it was found that the operator did not have the right class license to operate the dump truck and the dump truck was never registered. The operator was charged with OAS, Operating without a License, Failure to Register, and other traffic infractions.

Incident Type: Criminal Speed Date: 9/29/2016 Town: Caswell Trooper: Tr. Pescitelli Brief Synopsis: Tr. Pescitelli was on patrol on Route 1 in Connor when he noticed a vehicle traveling at an excessive rate of speed. Activating the radar it reported the vehicle traveling at 93mph in a 50mph zone. The driver was on his way home and had to make use of the restroom. The driver was summonsed for criminal speed and warned for not producing a registration or valid proof of insurance.

Incident Type: DRUGS Date: 9/29/2016 Town: Houlton Trooper: Tr. Endre Brief Synopsis: Tr. Endre stopped a vehicle in Houlton for a motor vehicle violation. While speaking to the 17 yr. old male operator, Tr. Endre could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Tr. Endre searched the vehicle and found marijuana, paraphernalia, and tobacco products. The juvenile’s mother was called and met the Trooper at the scene. The juvenile was summonsed for possession of marijuana.

Incident Type: WARRANT Date: 9/29/2016 Town: Easton Trooper: Tr. Casavant Brief Synopsis: Tr. Casavant arrested an Easton man on a warrant for unpaid fines and violation conditions of release. The warrant stemmed from prior drug charges the man had. He was arrested at his parent’s home without incident.

Incident Type: BURGLARY Date: 9/30/2016 Town: Oakfield Trooper: Tr. Sucy Brief Synopsis: Tr. Sucy is investigating a burglary in Oakfield. The home owner is not living at the residence which is also for sale. It was reported that someone broke into the house and broke into a gun safe that was inside the house that contained approximately 50 OxyContin pills, and stole a new generator. Tr. Sucy is still investigating this incident.

Incident Type: PROBATION VIOLATION Date: 10/01/2016 Town: Frenchville Trooper: Tr. Luce Brief Synopsis: Tr. Luce arrested a male for a probation violation at the request of the man’s probation officer. The man was not attending substance abuse counseling as mandated in his probation. The 26 year old man, from Madawaska, met Tr. Luce at the Madawaska Police Department and was told about the violation. Tr. Luce transported him to Caribou PD where the man was held until the probation officer could respond.

Incident Type: WARRANT Date: 10/01/2016 Town: Houlton Trooper: Tr. Sucy Brief Synopsis: Tr. Sucy arrested a 31 year old male from Amity on a warrant for failing to appear in court on drug charges. The man was arrested without incident and taken to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton.

Incident Type: WARRANT Date: 10/01/2016 Town: Silver Ridge Trooper: Tr. Sucy Brief Synopsis: Tr. Sucy arrested a 27 year old male from Orrington on a warrant for unpaid restitution from an assault charge. The man was transported to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton without incident.

Incident Type: ASSIST OTHER AGENCY Date: 10/02/2016 Town: Madawaska Trooper: Tr. Luce Brief Synopsis: Tr. Luce assisted Madawaska PD with a 36 year old male that was drunk and being disorderly at a local bar. The man was told to leave the bar and he cooperated.

Incident Type: ASSIST OTHER AGENCY Date: 10/02/2016 Town: Madawaska Trooper: Tr. Luce Brief Synopsis: Tr. Luce assisted Madawaska PD with a 30 year old male that was heavily intoxicated and standing in front of the police department yelling profanity. When the local PD arrived the man took off. Tr. Luce helped the officer locate the individual and warned him for disorderly conduct. The man was taken back to his parents’ house in Madawaska where he remained for the evening.

Incident Type: ASSIST OTHER AGENCY Date: 10/02/2016 Town: Fort Kent Trooper: Tr. Luce Brief Synopsis: Tr. Desrosier, Tr. Luce, and Cpl. Quint responded to an underage drinking party in a remote field in Fort Kent. Warden Gary Sibley was patrolling his area and noticed the glow from a fire and several vehicles in a field. Warden Sibley contacted Fort Kent PD and they requested assistance from the State Police. When the Troopers and local officers arrived there were approximately 15 juveniles gathered around the fire and were consuming liquor. An investigation revealed the 39 year old mother of two of the girls attending the party had provided all of the alcohol to the kids. The woman was issued a criminal summons for the violation after she admitted to purchasing the liquor. All of the parents for the minors were contacted. There was also a usable amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the scene.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties.
