Incident Type: K-9 ACTIVITY Date: 11/08/2017 Town: CARIBOU, LIMESTONE, PRESQUE ISLE Trooper: TR. LEVESQUE AND VITZ Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque and K-9 “Vitz” had three requests for service this past week. The team responded to assist Caribou PD with the search of a vehicle; Vitz located drugs hidden in the passenger compartment. They later responded to Limestone for a commercial burglary and attempted to track the suspect(s). The third request was from Presque Isle PD for a trespass complaint but the request was terminated before they arrived.

Incident Type: CRIMINAL SPEED Date: 11/09/2017 Town: EASTON Trooper: SGT. CLARK Brief Synopsis: Sgt. Clark was conducting traffic enforcement in Easton. While stationary he observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed and confirmed the vehicle was travelling 60 mph in a posted 25 mph zone. The juvenile male driver told Sgt. Clark that he was in a hurry to get home because his mother was leaving soon. Sgt. Clark issued the juvenile a criminal summons for criminal speeding and then contacted the boy’s mother to inform her of the stop.

Incident Type: TRAINING Date: 11/09/2017 Town: CARIBOU Trooper: CPL. QUINT & TRP. LEVESQUE Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Hafford, Cpl. Quint, Tr. Levesque, and Tr. Flynn (Troop K) attended 2 days of training in Caribou for ARIDE. Spc. Turcotte and Tr. Saucier instructed the Troopers as well has other officers from local departments regarding Advanced Roadside Impairment Detection and Enforcement.

Incident Type: BURGLARY Date: 11/09/2017 Town: OAKFIELD Trooper: TR. CASAVANT Brief Synopsis: Tr. Casavant responded to a residential burglary in Oakfield on the Spaulding Lake Road. The victim is an elderly male whose residence has recently been vacated as he is now a ward of the state. Jewelry and coins were likely taken and the case remains under investigation.

Incident Type: PURSUIT Date: 11/10/2017 Town: WADE Trooper: TR. PESCITELLI Brief Synopsis: Tr. Pescitelli was on routine patrol in Wade and met a vehicle that wasn’t displaying a front or rear license plate. Tr. Pescitelli turned around to stop the vehicle for the violation and noticed that the vehicle had accelerated rapidly, passing another car on a corner and appeared to be attempting to flee. Tr. Pescitelli activated his emergency lights and siren and initiated a pursuit. The pursuit only lasted moments before the male suspect pulled into his driveway, his reason for fleeing was he hoped to get home before Tr. Pescitelli saw him. The male was arrested without further incident for operating after revocation and failure to stop.

Incident Type: WARRANT ARREST Date: 11/11/17 Town: LittletonTrooper: TR. SYLVIA Brief Synopsis: Tr. Sylvia was running traffic in Littleton and learned of a motorist who just passed him with a warrant. The vehicle was located a short time later in Houlton and the 26-year-old male arrested on the warrant.
