Incident Type: ASSAULT Date: 5/29/2017 Town: Connor Trooper: Tr. Casavant Brief Synopsis: Tr. Casavant investigated an assault complaint in Connor. A male subject reported that he had been punched in the chest by another man. The incident stemmed from a civil land dispute that the two had been having. The argument got out of hand and the incident turned physical. The complainant decided that he didn’t want to pursue charges. The pair was advised to leave each other alone until the land was surveyed.

Incident Type: BURGLARY Date: 5/29/2017 Town: Sherman Trooper: Tr. Saucier Brief Synopsis: Tr. Saucier responded to Sherman when a homeowner reported that a building on her property had been broken into. Investigation revealed that some property had been stolen in recent days. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Incident Type: Warrant Arrest Date: 5/29/2017 Town: T9 R8 Trooper: Tr. Pescitelli Brief Synopsis: Tr. Pescitelli was working a seat belt detail when he observed a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed. Tr. Pescitelli initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and learned that the operator had an outstanding warrant issued by Biddeford PD. The man was arrested and transported to Aroostook County Jail.

Incident Type: ASSIST OTHER AGENCY Date: 5/30/2017 Town: Saint Francis Trooper: Tr. Desrosier Brief Synopsis: Tr. Desrosier arrested a man that called Fort Kent PD and stated he needed to be arrested because he is drunk and that is a violation of his probation conditions. Tr. Desrosier spoke with the man’s probation officer and arrested him for violating his probation. The man was taken to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton.

Incident Type: CRIMINAL SPEED Date: 5/30/2017 Town: Merrill Trooper: Cpl. Quint Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Quint issued a criminal summons to a 67-year-old male for exceeding the posted speed limit by 30 mph or more on State Route 212, Merrill. The man stated he was late for work and did not realize he was driving so fast. The man signed the summons without incident and must appear in Houlton Court next month. The man was driving 78 mph in a posted 45 mph zone.

Incident Type: WARRANT ARREST Date: 5/30/2017 Town: Caribou Trooper: TR. PESCITELLI Brief Synopsis: Tr. Pescitelli attempted to serve a subpoena on an individual. Tr. Pescitelli discovered the individual had a warrant for his arrest. After locating the individual, he was served with the subpoena and then placed under arrest for the warrant

Incident Type: WARRANT ARREST Date: 5/30/2017 Town: Fort Fairfield Trooper: Tr. Pescitelli Brief Synopsis: Tr. Pescitelli was required to serve another subpoena on a female individual who was living in Fort Fairfield. Tr. Pescitelli was made aware that she was dating a male who might possibly have warrants for his arrest. Tr. Pescitelli discovered the male in question had 7 active warrants for his arrest. With the assistance of Fort Fairfield Officer Dale Keegan and Tr. Stoutamyer, they were able to locate the male attempting to hide in a closet after gaining consent to search the residence from the homeowner. The male was subsequently arrested and the female was served the subpoena.

Incident Type: DISORDERLY CONDUCT Date: 5/31/2017 Town: Sherman Trooper: Cpl. Quint Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Quint received a complaint of a 26-year-old male that keeps coming into the Irving gas station in Sherman disturbing customers and harassing the cashier with profanity and disorderly behavior. When Cpl. Quint arrived at the store the man was gone but was located on the side of the road about 5 miles away from the store. The man was upset because he was supposed to be receiving a money order but the Irving only sells them and cannot receive them. The man was also upset the cashier would not sell him cigarettes without proper ID (he had no ID). Cpl. Quint told the man to not return to the Irving and issued him a no trespass warning.

Incident Type: CRIMINAL SPEED Date: 5/31/2017 Town: Castle Hill Trooper: Tr. Levesque Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque stopped a 34-year-old male on State Route 163, Castle Hill, for criminal speeding (81 mph in a posted 50 mph zone). The man told Tr. Levesque he was trying to pass some vehicles while in the passing zone going uphill towards Mapleton. The man was issued a criminal summons for exceeding the posted speed limit by 30 mph or more.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 5/31/2017 Town: Littleton Trooper: Tr. Bell Brief Synopsis: Tr. Bell met a southbound vehicle in Littleton that looked consistent with a truck that Tr. Bell had previously dealt with during an OUI investigation. Suspecting the driver had since had his license suspended; Tr. Bell followed the truck while confirming that the male’s license was suspended. The truck was stopped and the male was summonsed for OAS.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 6/1/2017 Town: Linneus Trooper: Tr. Bell Brief Synopsis: Tr. Bell observed a male driving a vehicle that he suspected of having a suspended driver’s license based on personal knowledge. The suspension was confirmed, and the male was stopped and summonsed for operating after suspension.

Incident Type: THEFT Date: 6/3/2017 Town: Washburn Trooper: Tr. Casavant Brief Synopsis: Tr. Casavant responded to a Washburn residence. A homeowner called and reported that a compact disc player had been stolen from an antique Corvette on his property. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Incident Type: Criminal Traffic Date: 6/3/2017 Town: Eagle Lake Trooper: Tr. Desrosier Brief Synopsis: Tr. Desrosier stopped a vehicle in Eagle Lake for a traffic infraction. During the course of the traffic stop Tr. Desrosier discovered the registration plates attached to the vehicle were not assigned to that car. The woman told Tr. Desrosier she wanted to keep the plates but they were secured as evidence. The woman was issued a criminal summons for illegal attachment of plates and will appear in court in Fort Kent.

Incident Type: Underage Drinking Date: 6/3/2017 Town: Connor  Trooper: Tr. Kilcollins Brief Synopsis: Tr. Kilcollins responded to a location that was reported by Caribou PD of an underage party. Tr. Kilcollins and a Border Patrol Agent located the party that had a multitude of underage persons drinking. Trp. Kilcollins found the host of the party (18-year-old male) and issued him a criminal summons for providing a place for minors to consume liquor. Tr. Kilcollins estimated the party-goers had over $500 worth of liquor and other types of alcohol that was seized and parents were notified.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 6/4/2017 Town: Presque Isle Trooper: Cpl. Michaud Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Michaud charged a Caribou man for operating after suspension after stopping him for speeding (70 in a 45). The subject’s license was suspended for failure to pay child support and he also had a prior suspension on his record.
