Incident Type: Warrant Date: 3/26/2017 Town: Oakfield Trooper: Tr. Adams Brief Synopsis: Tr. Bell and Tr. Adams investigated the report of a disorderly male lying in the road in Oakfield and also the male was stopping cars and yelling at them. The male was found, and arrested for an active warrant and violating bail. After being handcuffed, the male actively resisted and assaulted Tr. Adams in the process by kicking him. The male had to be transported to jail in a Border Patrol cruiser cage after he couldn’t be restrained in Tr. Adams cruiser and was actively kicking at the Troopers and equipment and also taking his seat belt off.

Incident Type: OUI Date: 3/27/2017 Town: Littleton Trooper: Tr. Bell Brief Synopsis: Troopers Bell and Adams responded to a residence in Littleton for a strange pickup in the yard. A male was found unconscious in his truck with his foot pinning the gas pedal to the floor. The engine was smoking, and the fire department responded. The male was found to be highly impaired by alcohol and arrested. The male had apparently driven into someone’s driveway where he passed out at the wheel.

Incident Type: ACCIDENT Date: 3/28/2017 Town: Mapleton Trooper: Tr. Casavant Brief Synopsis: Tr. Casavant responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 163 in Mapleton. A female passenger from Ashland was trapped in the vehicle. The operator and another passenger fled on foot and were later dropped off in Mapleton. Investigation revealed the male operator was revoked and the passenger had a warrant. The vehicle they were driving had been purchased on 3-27-17 and was taken without permission from the owner. Investigation is ongoing at this time and Tr. Casavant is trying to locate the operator and other passenger.

Incident Type: OUI Date: 3/30/2017 Town: Frenchville Trooper: Tr. Desrosier Brief Synopsis: Tr. Desrosier was on patrol and observed a vehicle exceeding the posted speed limit and Tr. Desrosier stopped the vehicle for the violation. Tr. Desrosier made contact with the operator, a 64-year-old Madawaska man, and Tr. Desrosier suspected he was impaired. After the man failed Field Sobriety Testing he was arrested and transported to Madawaska PD

Incident Type: OUI Date: 3/30/2017 Town: Madawaska Lake Twp Trooper: Tr. Levesque Brief Synopsis: The State Police were contacted regarding a vehicle off the road in Madawaska Lake. Tr. Levesque responded and discovered that the driver, a 25-year-old male from Van Buren, had been drinking. After investigation and failing Field Sobriety Testing the man was arrested and taken to Caribou PD

Incident Type: CRIMINAL SPEED Date: 3/31/2017 Town: Easton Trooper: Sgt. Clark Brief Synopsis: Sgt. Clark was on Route 10, Easton, when he observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed while passing another vehicle. The vehicle, driven by a 19-year-old male from Easton, was clocked on radar driving 88 mph in a posted 50 mph zone. The man was issued a criminal summons for Exceeding the Posted Speed Limit by 30 mph or more. The man told Sgt. Clark that the driver in front of him kept slowing down and he was irritated so he passed the vehicle at a high rate of speed. The man has been stopped for criminal speed in the past.

Incident Type: CRIMINAL SPEED Date: 3/31/2017 Town: Bridgewater Trooper: Cpl. Quint Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Quint was stationary in Bridgewater along US Highway 1 waiting to assist with another incident. A vehicle came up over a hill out of the town of Bridgewater at a high rate of speed which was locked at 101 mph leaving a 45 mph zone and entering a 55 mph zone. The vehicle was stopped and the 25-year-old male driver from Madawaska said he just had the car’s turbo worked on and he wanted to see if it is working properly. The man had two adult passengers in the vehicle as well as a loaded .357 pistol in the driver side door. The man was arrested for criminal speeding, driving to endanger, and violation of bail. The man was taken to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 3/31/2017 Town: Linneus Trooper: Cpl. Quint Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Quint stopped a vehicle for not displaying a state inspection certificate. The 32-year-old female driver said the sticker was scraped when she bought the car and she is trying to get it repaired so it will pass inspection. The woman also had a suspended driver’s license for failing to maintain required liability insurance. The woman was issued a criminal summons for OAS and a traffic summons for not displaying a valid inspection.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties.
