Incident Type: THEFT Date: 7/03/2017 Town: Mars Hill Trooper: Tr. Levesque Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque investigated a report of a stolen vehicle in Mars Hill. An NCIC entry was made regarding the vehicle. During the investigation, the vehicle owner called stating one of his part time employees has the vehicle and it is not in fact stolen.

Incident Type: DRUGS Date: 7/04/2017 Town: Presque Isle Trooper: Sgt. Clark Brief Synopsis: Sgt. Clark issued a civil summons to a 53-year-old Connor Township woman after drug paraphernalia was located in her vehicle. Sgt. Clark was investigating a traffic complaint and the vehicle was preparing to leave a parking lot in Presque Isle. Sgt. Clark suspected the woman was impaired but she passed SFST’s. There were no available DRE’s due to the holiday. The woman signed the summons and called for a friend to come get her and her children (there were two kids in the car). The male passenger was arrested for having two active warrants for his arrest.

Incident Type: VIOLATION OF BAIL Date: 7/04/2017 Town: Cross Lake Trooper: Tr. Desrosier Brief Synopsis: Tr. Desrosier was patrolling near Cross Lake and observed a vehicle with an expired inspection certificate. During the stop Tr. Desrosier identified the male passenger and found active bail conditions, one which prohibited the man from consuming liquor. The man was found with open alcoholic containers and Tr. Desrosier suspected the man was intoxicated. Using his Portable Breath Test the man showed a test result over the 0.08 legal limit. The man was arrested for violating his conditions of release. The driver was issued a traffic summons for the expired inspection.

Incident Type: OAS, False Report Date: 7/06/2017 Town: Weston Trooper: Tr. Bell Brief Synopsis: Tr. Bell investigated a stolen vehicle complaint in the earlier morning. Sgt. Fuller and Tr. Bell immediately responded and couldn’t locate the vehicle. On the next shift, Tr. Kilcollins located the vehicle and was instrumental in establishing a suspect and inconsistencies in the “victim’s” story. Through multiple interviews, a confession was obtained from the alleged female victim that she allowed her male friend to drive the car while he was drunk. The male crashed the car, left it at a stranger’s house, and left the immediate area. The female was charged with filing a false report and was advised to immediately change her insurance claim from a stolen vehicle or be charged with insurance deception. The claim was changed. The male driver admitted driving the car, and denied crashing but later admitted to crashing the car during a phone call. The male was suspended and was charged with operating after suspension and failing to report a crash by the quickest means. The male was also on probation, and his probation officer is also dealing with the incident.

Incident Type: CRIMINAL SPEED Date: 7/09/2017 Town: St. Agatha Trooper: Tr. Desrosier Brief Synopsis: Tr. Desrosier was patrolling on Rt. 162 in St. Agatha and locked a vehicle’s speed at 104 mph in a posted 50 mph zone. The driver attempted to elude Tr. Desrosier by taking a side road but Tr. Desrosier was able to locate the vehicle as it pulled into its residence. Tr. Desrosier spoke with the operator and learned that he had been consuming alcohol also. Tr. Desrosier conducted SFST’s and determined that the man was impaired. Tr. Desrosier arrested the man for criminal speed and transported him to Madawaska PD for an intox. The man’s Breath alcohol was .05. Tr. Desrosier contacted a DRE who was not able to determine any more impairment. The man was on probation and his probation officer was contacted. The man posted bail.

Incident Type: WARRANT Date: 7/09/2017 Town: Eagle Lake Trooper: Tr. Desrosier Brief Synopsis: Tr. Desrosier was investigating a family fight in Eagle Lake. He determined there was no crime committed and the two (boyfriend/girlfriend) were yelling at each other over pornographic material she found in the trash. While Tr. Desrosier was talking to the woman he observed a man lying in bed in one of the bedrooms. Tr. Desrosier identified the man and found two active arrest warrants for failing to pay fines/costs (over $2000). Tr. Desrosier arrested the man on the warrants and transported him to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton.

Incident Type: DISORDERLY CONDUCT Date: 7/09/2017 Town: New Limerick Trooper: Tr. Sylvia Brief Synopsis: Tr. Sylvia responded to New Limerick for reports of a noise disturbance. A caller reported that there was a gathering going on with loud music and people shooting off firecrackers in the road. Tr. Sylvia did not locate any people using fireworks, and the noise was ultimately kept to an acceptable level. There were no other issues reported at the gathering.
