Troop F of the Maine State Police responded to 110 calls for service in and around Aroostook County this past week. Here are the incidents included in their weekly report:

Incident Type: BURGLARY Date: 2/11/2019 Town: CASTLE HILL Trooper: CPL. MICHAUD Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Michaud received a report of a camp burglary in Castle Hill. A caretaker reported that in recent weeks, he discovered that a property he watches over had been broken into. Several items had been taken from the camp. A property list was being compiled and the investigation is ongoing.

Incident Type: ROBBERY Date: 2/12/2019 Town: PATTEN Trooper: TR. SAUCIER Brief Synopsis: Maine State Police received a 911 call reporting that the East Mill Credit Union on Church St. in Patten had just been robbed. The caller reported that a male subject had entered the bank, demanded money, and then fled on foot. Troopers, Game Wardens, and Deputies from Aroostook and Penobscot Sheriffs Depts., converged on the area and began a search for the suspect. A State Police K-9 team was also brought in to assist in the investigation. While the search was underway, members of the State Police Evidence Response Team began processing the crime scene for evidence. A canvas of the area neighborhoods was also conducted and witness statements were collected. As the investigation unfolded, leads were developed in the case and the investigation continued. Troopers remained in the area throughout most of the evening continuing to interview witnesses and follow leads. On the morning of 2/14/19 Trooper Saucier arrested Bryan Ingalls, age 59 of Patten for the crime. Ingalls was arrested for Robbery and bail has been set at $40,000 cash and Ingalls was brought to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor. An undisclosed portion of the money was recovered during the investigation and the investigation remains active and is ongoing.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 2/12/2019 Town: WESTFIELD Trooper: TR. LEVESQUE Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque responded to a residence over a civil dispute and while there, Tr. Levesque learned that the husband’s license was revoked and he was not there. The man arrived driving a truck that had trailer plates attached to it. Tr. Levesque approached the man and told him that his license was revoked. Tr. Levesque arrested the man and transported him to the Presque Isle P.D. where he posted bail. Tr. Levesque charged the man with false attachment of plates also.

Incident Type: WARRANT Date: 2/12/2019 Town: ST. JOHN Trooper: TR. CURTIN Brief Synopsis: Trooper Matt Curtin was investigating the whereabouts of a wanted Saint John man when he received information that he was staying at the ‘American Dream’ apartment complex in Saint John Plantation. With the information Tr. Curtin learned in his investigation, he sought and obtained a search warrant for an apartment at that complex. Troopers, Wardens, a Deputy, and a Border Patrol agent executed the warrant at approximately 7 pm. As a result of Tr. Curtin’s investigation, police located and arrested 36-year old Jason Faggiole on 2 outstanding warrants. While inside the residence, police also located 20-year old Corey Raymond of Fort Kent and arrested him on 8 Outstanding Warrants. Additionally, State Police arrested and charged 45-year old Jonathon Faggiole of Saint John with Hindering Apprehension for his role in harboring the fugitives. Jonathan Faggiole is due to appear in Fort Kent District Court on April 1, 2019. Jason Faggiole and Corey Raymond were both transported to the Aroostook County Jail, while Jonathan Faggiole was transported to Fort Kent Police Department where he posted bail. Trooper Curtin was assisted with his investigation by other members of the State Police, Maine Warden Service, Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office, US Border Patrol, and the Fort Kent Police Department.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 2/13/2019 Town: MAPLETON Trooper: TR. LEVESQUE Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque was conducting traffic enforcement in the town of Mapleton when he observed a pickup being operated by a male who he wanted to interview on a separate case. Tr. Levesque observed the plate on the vehicle as being expired by almost two years. Tr. Levesque conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the man’s license was suspended. Tr. Levesque charged the man with OAS and expired registration over 150 days.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 2/13/2019 Town: MAPLETON Trooper: TR. LEVESQUE Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque responded to a two vehicle crash in the town of Mapleton. Tr. Levesque learned that a man was plowing his driveway and backed out into the roadway causing a crash with a passing vehicle. The man’s license was under suspension. Tr. Levesque charged the man with OAS and failure to produce evidence of insurance.

Incident Type: ARREST - OTHER Date: 2/14/2019 Town: BLAINE Trooper: TR. KILCOLLINS Brief Synopsis: Tr. Kilcollins assisted a Maine Probation Officer with locating and arresting a man in Blaine. The man had not been reporting to the probation officer due to an operating after revocation charge. The man was located, arrested, and transported to the Aroostook County Jail.

Incident Type: WARRANT ARREST Date: 2/16/2019 Town: OAKFIELD Trooper: TR. ADAMS Brief Synopsis: Tr Adams conducted a warrant check on a female in Oakfield. Tr Adams located her at home and arrested her on the outstanding warrant then transported her to ACJ.

Incident Type: WARRANT ARREST Date: 2/16/2019 Town: LIMESTONE Trooper: TR. PESCITELLI Brief Synopsis: Tr Pescitelli arrested a male on 2 federal drug trafficking warrants. Tr Pescitelli went to the males’ girlfriend’s house and located him at that residence in Limestone. Tr Pescitelli transported him to the Aroostook County Jail.

Incident Type: OAS / WARRANT Date: 2/17/2019 Town: MAPLETON Trooper: TR. LEVESQUE Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque was conducting traffic enforcement in the town of Mapleton when he stopped a vehicle. The man operating the vehicle had a suspended license and had a warrant for his arrest for failing to appear on an OAS, attaching false plates, and displaying a fictitious inspection sticker charge. Tr. Levesque placed the man under arrest and transported him to the Presque Isle PD where he was release on bail.

Incident Type: THEFT Date: 2/17/2019 Town: MARS HILL Trooper: CPL. MICHAUD Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Michaud charged a Mars Hill man with burglary of a motor vehicle and theft. A couple returned home to find one of their neighbors inside their vehicle. The man fled the scene, and as he fled, the man’s wife noticed he was fleeing while wearing her husband’s sneakers. The man returned a brief time later and put the sneakers back at the end of their driveway. The neighbor now has an April court date in Presque Isle to answer for his actions.
