Maine officials are reminding those in the state, who enjoy riding All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV's), about the maximum width they are allowed on trails.

As many people in Maine already know, ATV's are a big tourist attraction in the state.

The opportunity to ride ATV's along many of the Pine Tree State's trails is made possible by willing landowners, who allow them to ride on their land.

State agencies brokers deals with private land owners and one of the stipulations are that the width of ATV's is to be a maximum of five feet.

Any wider than five-feet is in violation to the agreement.
