Maine Man Struck and Killed While Lying in the Road

A Brewer man has died after being struck by an SUV in the early hours Saturday.

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Branden Look had left a pub in Kenduskeag on foot and was struck on the Higginsville Road around 1:00 a.m.

Deputy Ryan Fitch responded to the call. A witness said that Look was lying in the roadway when he was struck by an SUV.  The young man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fitch identified the driver of the SUV as 21-year-old Dylan Pray of Kenduskeag.

Chris Watson of the Orono Police Department was called in to reconstruct the accident. The investigation continues

The Penobscot County District Attorney’s office will decide whether to press charges.
