Maine K-9 Troopers Graduate [PHOTOS]
The 31st State Police Canine Patrol School graduation took place Friday at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro, June 17 at 10:00 a.m.
A formal ceremony was held inside the tactical center followed by a demonstration outside where the dogs showed off their new skills. The canine teams, representing four different police agencies have spent fourteen weeks in training.
Five canine teams graduated:
Officer Donald Cousins and K-9 Rocky - Auburn Police Department
Officer Kevin Gagne and K-9 Robbie - Lewiston Police Department
Officer Dan Pelkey and K-9 Maverick - North Berwick Police Department
Trooper J.P. Lacoste and K-9 Bela - State Police Troop C
Trooper Taylor Dube and K-9 Indy - State Police Troop E
Officer Donald Cousins and K9 Rocky, Auburn Police Department:
