LL Bean Makes BIG Donation To One Of The Coolest Features Of Acadia National Park

Maine's L. L. Bean is making a BIG donation to help one of the coolest features of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

According to WABI TV, L. L. Bean has donated a million bucks to support Friends Of Acadia's Island Explorer bus system.

Since the bus runs were start in 1999, they've carried more than 6 million passengers, reduced private vehicle trips by 2 million, and reduced overall pollution on the island.  The fare-free buses allow visitors easy access to trail heads and points of interest around MDI.

With this latest donation, L. L. Bean has pledged more than $4 million to the project.
