With the single "Hardwired" released in advance of Metallica's forthcoming album Hardwired...To Self-Destruct, fans have had plenty of time to dissect the track.

One You-Tuber recently created a video playing "Hardwired" using guitar tones from Metallica's first five albums. Now another fan has made a video of himself playing "Hardwired" using guitar tones from other classic bands. Check out the video above.

It kicks off with Vulgar Display of Power-era Pantera tones, followed by Slayer's sound circa South of Heaven. He also plays "Hardwired" in the style of Megadeth's Rust in Peace album and the other "Big 4" band Anthrax is represented with their tone from the classic album Spreading the Disease.

The video wraps up with rendition of "Hardwired" using the guitar tone of Metallica's own Master of Puppets album.

Hardwired… To Self-Destruct is set to be released on Nov. 18. Pre-orders are available now via Metallica's website. Before the album is released the band will play the Global Citizen Festival on Sept. 24 in New York City's Central Park before embarking on a Latin American tour that kicks off Oct. 26 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
