Vermont pro Jesse Larson may never forget the 50th Greater Bangor Open. On Friday, a course record tying score of 60.  Saturday, he scores a tournament win.

Larson started the day with a four shot lead over the closest competition but within the first few holes that lead was down to one.

Larson settled in and shot a solid 1-under par 68. That was enough to hold off runner up Charlie Winegardner by three strokes. He 3-day total was 12-under (192).

A birdie putt on the the 17th hole sealed the deal and after finishing second, third and fourth over the years, Larson finally had a win at the GBO

He gets $9,000 for the win.

Evan Harmeling finished in third place. Defending champ Jon McLean finished in a three way tie for fourth place.
